We are proud and excited to expand our vision and our program by providing movement classes to the community. Because we believe in the importance of a balanced lifestyle, our students, patients, faculty and staff can now benefit from Qi Gong and Acu-Yoga classes at an affordable price.

Instructor: Kat Myers
Kat’s Acu-Yoga class is an inner journey blending: Yoga, Acupressure, Qi Gong, Foot Fitness, Sound and Centering. This refined and healing practice will strengthen your bones, nourish your joints and move your qi. This class is appropriate for all levels of adventurers. Kat Myers, Certified Yamuna Body Rolling Practitioner, has been teaching Yoga since 1989 and training Yoga teachers since 1996. She has degrees in Occupational Therapy and Psychology and is currently a student at PIHMA.

Instructor: Dan Bedgood
Qi Gong focuses on the philosophy of aligning breath, physical activity and awareness for mental, spiritual and corporeal health. It includes certain forms of martial arts and the spiritual awakening to one’s true nature. Dan Bedgood is a Cum Laude graduate of Pacific College of Oriental Medicine in San Diego. Dan is a member of the Association of Teachers of Chinese Medicine and the Florida Toyohari Association. Dan currently serves as Dean of Students for PIHMA Acupuncture College & Clinic.

- Classes are designed to help each student improve their own postural alignment, to develop their breathing quality, and to learn to sense and circulate their own vital energy (qi).
- Classes will vary in intensity ranging from very gentle and therapeutic, to more vigorous and strength-building.
- Please refer to the descriptions to best asses the class for your needs.
- Most classes are generally safe and adequate for beginners. However, if you have any questions about your level of mobility, feel free to contact the instructor for the class you’re intersted in.
- Please remember that it is important that you consult your primary care physician prior to starting a new exercise program.
- Dress in loose, comfortable clothing. You may want to bring a small towel and water. We have some yoga mats for community use, but feel free to bring your own mat if you have one at home.
