Santa’s Tough Schedule and Bowl Full of Jelly May Be Doing a Number on His Health
“A Valley Herbal Medicine and Acupuncture Clinic has Natural Remedies for the Man in the Big Red Suit”
December 15, 2009. Phoenix, AZ-This time of year Santa has probably been in a big rush without any time to worry about exercise and eating right. The expanding bowl full of jelly and the stress of making sure all the good little girls and boys get their presents on time can do a real number on Santa’s Health. A night of milk and cookies from all over the world is just ahead and that may put him over the edge. We need to make sure Santa can make it through the season in top shape. He will need all the energy he can get. The Phoenix Institute of Herbal Medicine and Acupuncture (PIHMA), College & Clinic, can assist Santa. They have simple treatments for dealing with stress, aching joints and bulging bellies.
From all his hot chocolate and sweet food on the go, Santa is probably suffering from what is known as spleen qi deficiency and now he craves sugar to give him quick energy. The PIHMA Acupuncture Clinic has some great herbal tonics to help strengthen his digestion so he can break down those fats and feel revived.
Catherine Niemiec, President of PIHMA College and Clinic recommends, “Santa should come in regularly to the clinic to get some of his possible chronic ailments under control.”
The stress of the season for the big guy can also lead to hypertension, and the PIHMA Clinic has calming herbs and acupuncture treatments to relieve these stresses. The experts at PIHMA are willing to sit down with Santa and teach him how to meditate and do qi gong to build his energy for the long night of deliveries. They have great tonics to get the squeaks and kinks out of Santa’s joints and bring about good circulation.
“Asian Medicine is well noted for increasing longevity, and we certainly want to make sure Santa stays healthy for a long, long time,” says Niemiec.
Santa may have also developed some arthritis over the years due to the cold damp weather settling into his bones. The elves enjoy the snow at the North Pole but living there may be a little hard on Santa’s body. PIHMA offers great liniments to soothe his joints, as well as other herbal tonics to send circulation to his joints and aches.
After the big night is over, PIHMA would like to invite Santa in to relax and enjoy some auricular therapy to help stave off any more cravings and feel refreshed after his late night jaunt and prepare him for next year.
The Phoenix Institute of Herbal Medicine & Acupuncture (PIHMA), now in its 14th year, is the Valley's only accredited Oriental medical college, offering 4-year medical degrees in Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine. Located at 301 E. Bethany Home Road, the graduate programs offer the highest level of training in acupuncture and Chinese herbal medicine, with over 3000 hours of Oriental medical medicine, Western sciences, and an extensive clinical internship at its onsite community clinic. Graduates work in independent practice, at hospitals & integrative medical clinics, and in professional therapeutic settings. PIHMA also offers corporate wellness health programs and presentations.
