PIHMA Faculty

Angela Nuñez, L.Ac. grew up in Layton, Utah, then was fortunate enough to get a full ride to Morgan State University in Maryland where she graduated with a B.S. in Public Health. She always wanted to get into natural medicine. She went on to get a Masters of Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine from South Baylor University and a Doctorate from Pacific College of Health and Science. She has worked as a DNA nutritional consultant and is certified in various functional medicine practices as well as a Master Practitioner of Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP) and Mental/Emotional Release (MER). This is her first year teaching at PIHMA.

What is your teaching style?

I try to make it fun and give as much real-life meaning to it as possible.

What is one thing that students like about your class?

This medicine is thousands of years old, yet extremely relevant and needed today more than ever!

What is your favorite quote about Acupuncture?

“Everyone has a doctor in him or her; we just have to help it in its work. The natural healing force with each of us is the greatest force in getting well”.

Any advice for your students?

Get treatments from other acupuncturists, this will teach you many things, including how it is to be a patient.
