Financial Aid Manager/Officer

This Financial Aid Manager/Officer will oversee and manage core support operations of financial aid in conjunction with 3rd-party servicer, FAT$TAFF. Responsibilities include ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations, monitoring of cash flow and oversight of financial needs analysis and awards, completion of all reports, providing compassionate and timely advising to students and guidance regarding financial aid policies, and negotiation and finalization of student financial plans and packaging, including assistance with and certification of loan applications for Graduate Standard Term Semester Credits Awarding and Disbursing. Will train additionally as needed.
Successful candidates will demonstrate an alignment with PIHMA core values (see above) and have a financial aid operations & management background with excellent skills in customer service. The successful candidate must be responsible, responsive, action-oriented, take initiative, and have strong communication and problem-solving skills. Must have a consistent track record of producing significant operating and quality results. Must possess a minimum of an Associates degree (Bachelor or Master’s degree preferred) with at least three (3) years experience in providing excellent customer service, financial aid management and administration, relevant finance & accounting skills, relevant computer and database skills, ability to conduct analysis and research, and excellent written communication and interpersonal relations. Must demonstrate skills in collaborative leadership, diversity management, resourcefulness, and positive work relations.
